So what's new here.
I started a new group this week. It's called Fauna-Variety and it focusses on art with animals that are less popular or are less used. This means animals like deer, foxes, owls and jellyfish are not featured here( no matter how cute they are!)fauna-variety.deviantart.com
I started this group because I enjoy all wildlife and found myself getting frustrated by just seeing the same animals over and over again. I personally also have art of the more popular animals in my gallery and that's fine but it's also nice to go somewhere on DA where I don't have to look at owl after owl.
Because I was a bit under the weather this week so I was a bit foggy-headed to do any proper painting or drawing but it did give me time to go through a lot of the wonderful art here on DA. A lot of that has been requested for Fauna-Variety
It's not just 2d art but also crafts, literature and sculpture. There will also be articles featuring specific animals.
I really like all the art that you can see here now and I hope watchers of the group will appreciate it too
I'm new to managing a group but I guess it got off to a good start. Any tips however are appreciated.
Thank you again to my watchers who accepted a request for the group/started watching/joined!
I've also been looking at things like RedBubble, Society6 and Nuvongo recently. I would love to sell some prints!
I already started accounts on Nuvango and Artflakes. I got a bit overwhelmed by all the different websites you have for this and I'm not sure which ones are good and which aren't. WHat I decided was I'm just going to try out several and see what works for me and for people that are interested in my prints. I do plan to have at least two since I guess it makes a difference in shipping. nuvango.com/mdlillustrationwww.artflakes.com/en/shop/mdli…
I really need to do a lot more in this department and make shiny new buttons for all my profiles everywhere and do the whole selfpromote thing. It's just a little too much right while I still feel a bit whoozy.
Artwise I have a two watercolor/ink works that are halfway. A portrait and something that was supposed to be a simple sketch of a finch but I got a little out of control with the background so I guess it's not really a sketch anymore.
Take care and thanks for reading
